Brian Kemp, Governor of Georgia, has recently announced that Zinus USA, a subsidiary of Zinus Inc., will develop its 1st advanced manufacturing facility in North America in McDonough. The rapidly expanding e-Commerce mattress & furniture company will invest $108 million in the new facility and subsequently create 804 jobs in the Henry County region.

As per the statement made by Governor Kemp, he is excited about the manufacturing facility development plan set by Zinus in Georgia. Henry County will become a home to this international company that has a robust presence across the globe. The regional expansion and investment of this key e-Commerce company will also offer significant job opportunities to Georgians. Additionally, the unique logistic network & enhanced business environment in the region will considerably stimulate the company’s growth.

Zinus, which has been functioning for nearly 40 years in the home furnishings industry, has a regional presence across 20 countries and is planning to continuously expand its international footprint in years to come. Despite the unavailability of the manufacturing facility, the company has operated various distribution centers in the U.S. Other manufacturing facilities are located in China and Indonesia. It is well-known for its engineered products and infuses natural ingredients such as charcoal, olive oil, and green tea into its mattresses & home furniture.

The recently announced, advanced manufacturing facility will be set up at 830 Georgia 42, which is commonly referred by the area residents as the former Toys R Us distribution center. The facility is likely to become operational in the 1st half of 2021 as well as serve as a U.S. distribution center.

Facility development in McDonough, Henry County is the latest announcement made by Zinus. It had previously announced nearly 2,000 new positions, including Home Depot (600), Ferrero USA (250), and Purple Mattress (360 jobs).
