Blackbird achieves AWS Technology Partner status & completes FTR

Blackbird plc has reportedly attained AWS (Amazon Web Services) Technology Partner status and completed Blackbird Edge’s FTR (Foundational Technical Review) to expedite the engagement of AWS.

The AWS Foundational Technical Review enables AWS Partners to recognize and mitigate risks in their solutions or products. The FTR is initiated by an AWS PSA (Partner Solutions Architect) who analyses the solutions and products of AWS Partners against a certain set of requirements based around reliability, operational excellence, and security as per the definition of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

Complying with FTR guidelines, Blackbird can review projects against the requirements of FTR to choose the best methods to follow and assure the best possible client experience.

As an AWS Technology Partner, Blackbird can provide access to efficient, rapid cloud content production. Blackbird, based on the browser, is a fast and efficient browser-based cloud-native video editing platform that offers rapid access to video content for easily creating highlights, clips, and long-form content for faster publishing via several channels.

Ian McDonough, the Chief Executive Officer of Blackbird plc cited that the company has long aimed to replicate and improve the genre-defining Blackbird cloud video experience in a public cloud system.

McDonough also stated that AWS has provided strong support and has allowed the company to achieve its first milestone. A fast-tracked progress via the AWS Partner Network will enable Blackbird to scale flexibly for its customers and also significantly open up the market for the company, added McDonough.

It is worth noting that Blackbird allows remote production, thus eliminating the necessity to travel to an event or a facility and also removing the need to transfer material to and from several local storage environments.

Blackbird has proven to mitigate carbon emission by nearly 91% in comparison to conventional video editing workflows. It also reduces the costs associated with infrastructure by almost 75% owing to its cloud-native architecture.
