Hackensack Meridian and St. Josephs ink new clinical partnership deal

Healthcare is a highly complex and massive industry that has become one of the world’s largest sectors in terms of employment and revenue. Looking at its potential, several organizations desire to capitalize on the market, and in order to do it, these organizations have to expand their resources and a common and effective way of expanding is by venturing with other organizations that share the same vision.

Similar trends were recorded when Hackensack Meridian Health revealed that it would be forming a clinical partnership with St. Josephs Health.

According to reliable sources, the venture would involve the creation of new womens health center, an ambulatory care joint venture, and integration of two proton-therapy machines in the effort. Moreover, the venture will also witness the addition of more specialists across the region, which would boost access to its services and care.

Speaking on the move, Gordon Litwin, chair of the board, Hackensack Meridian Health, stated that that collaborations are effective methods to progress in the healthcare sector. With partners such as St. Josephs Health, who share the same vision, the company would play a vital role in transforming the healthcare delivery module.

The latest clinical partnership further builds upon a previous collaboration between the two entities, which saw both the healthcare company come together to start a co-owned hospice and home health agency, Visiting Health Services of New Jersey, which would cover counties like Passaic, Morris and Bergen.

Back in 2016, Hackensack had announced that two of the company’s hospital presidents, Ihor S. Sawczuk, M.D. and Kenneth N. Sable, M.D. were named among the 110 Physician Leaders of Hospitals and Health Systems, a list created by Becker’s Hospital Review.

Additionally, the health center is also known for launching the first-ever medically integrated urgent care facility for behavioral health in the U.S.

According to Robert C. Garrett, CEO, Hackensack Meridian Health, it is a unique concept that will help the company revolutionize behavioral health care in the country.

For the uninitiated, St. Josephs boasts of several credentials of its own; it is a leading healthcare specialist that offers various services through its portfolio, which includes a childrens hospital, two acute-care hospitals, home care, a long-term care facility and over 36 ambulatory care centers.

According to reports, any financial details pertaining to the clinical partnership agreement have not been unveiled yet.
