Apple launches the iPhone 11 series & its new streaming service

The company has unveiled its new iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max pricing at $699, $999 and $1,099 respectively, along with its latest streaming platform Apple TV+, priced at $5 a month.

Apple Inc., an American multinational tech company, has recently launched its latest triple-camera iPhone at a very competitive price, raising the bar for its competitors, and has further unveiled its new streaming TV service at an aggressive price range of $5 a month, undercutting Netflix and Disney.

According to sources, the announcements came at Apple’s largest marketing event, where it released its top products for the coming years, sending out a message to its competitors that it is now ready to compete on price. Moreover, the much-anticipated Apple TV+ streaming television service was also announced to be launched in over 100 nations excluding China in November 2019.

Reportedly, buyers of iPad, Mac or iPhone will enjoy a free year of streaming TV, which is likely to attract hundreds of millions of viewers to the service. This would propel the new service into a select group of firms that dominate the streaming industry.

Speaking on the move, Michael James, Managing Director of Equity Trading, Wedbush Securities, said that he feels that the pricing on the company’s streaming service was a positive surprise and has forced the other video service-related names like Amazon, Roku and Netflix to whip out some new strategies, in order to compete with it.

As per reports, Apple claims that its new iPhone 11 will feature two back cameras, including the next-gen microchip, the A13 and an ultra-wide-angle lens. Additionally, the company has positioned the new iPhone at $699, which is $50 cheaper than the previous iPhones.

However, the high-priced iPhone 11 Pro will feature three cameras on the back – ultra-wide, telephoto and wide-angle. Plus, it can film videos with the front camera and all three back cameras at the same time, starting at $999 and the iPhone 11 Pro Max, which has a bigger display starts at $1,099.
