Kinava, Korea East-West Power team-up for Green Pellet Pilot Project

Leading ecofriendly technology developer, Kinava Co. and electricity supplier firm, Korea East-West Power Co. are reportedly collaborating on Green Pellet Pilot Project through Hybrid Hydrothermal Carbonization technology. The project apparently demonstrates the conversion of sewage sludge and wood wastes into biosoild fuel at the Dangjin Power Plant.

Reportedly, several international communities are currently participating in the Paris Agreement to combat climate changes and pollution issues, along with the depletion of natural resources. The volume of food as well as household wastes is also rising explosively on account of the steeply rising deliveries of household necessities, given the non-contact and social distancing cultures in the current Covid-19 outbreak.

It has also been observed that the conversion of organic waste into solid biofuel typically needs a large investment and is inclusive of operation costs such as facilities, equipment, utilities, and energy. The new technology of HTC (Hybrid Hydrothermal Carbonization) from Kinava would be a suitable solution to this, given that it costs only 1/3 of utilities and energy in comparison to conventional drying technology. It would also effectively address the stench problems related to stinky organic waste.

For the record, Korea's Green New Deal Policies are focused on realizing sustainable growth across the social, economic, and environmental sectors in context of the paradigm change for eco-friendly energy city. Apparently, a circular economic cooperation model, as seen in several large cities, is being established to counter problems associated with wastes at the overcrowded cities and industries.

Sources also confirm that the Korean government is working towards establishing a society where wastes would be recirculated as a resource, in order to decrease their environmental abuse with the help of the Recirculation Resource Certification System.

Notably, the need for volume reduction of organic wastes apart from conversions to biosolid fuels is also growing at a robust pace in the U.S. Hence, the use of the Hybrid Hydrothermal Carbonization technology along with the catalyst introduced by Kinava's research team would lead to effective treatment processes as well as top-notch eco-friendly and high-caloric biofuel businesses.
