Kallista Energy, French renewable energy producer, has inked a deal to purchase a 32-MW wind project in the Netherlands—first of its kind in the country. Kallista Energy, owned by funds advised by Ardian on behalf of AXA and APG is procuring a ready-to-build wind energy project in Oostflakkee, nearly 30 Km South-West of Rotterdam.
With 32 MW ready-to-build wind energy project, kallista energy has taken a giant stride towards the globalization of its activities in Europe. For the record, project Oostflakkee is said to be started and propelled by a group of dedicated local farmers, along with Van Peperstraten and Renewable Factory.
The construction work, maintenance and turbines will be reportedly supplied by Enercon. The project incorporates 8 Enercon E-126 EP3 wind turbines of 4 MW each. According to reports, commissioning of the wind park is set to take place in Q1 2021.
According to the press release, the project will provide adequate renewable energy to more than 35,000 households, thereby leading to carbon savings of 1.2m t/CO2e.
President of Kallista Energy Frederic Roche elucidated about prolific goals of Netherlands for wind energy and stated that the Oostflakkee project would provide an ideal platform to expand footprints outside France, with Dutch wind project setting the tone for a renewable energy friendly environment.
