Lee Health & Quest Diagnostics partner to offer high-quality lab services

Medical laboratories company, Quest Diagnostics, and Lee Health, a leading provider of health care in Southwest Florida, are reportedly teaming up to improve the value and quality of diagnostic services offered to patients and their doctors.

Speaking on the latest development, Steve Rusckowski, Chairman, President, and CEO of Quest Diagnostics, stated that the firm is keen on collaborating with Lee Health.

According to Steve, as people returning to hospitals and care struggle with post-COVID issues, hospital systems like Lee Health are coming to Quest for assistance in deploying their lab strategy and benefitting from expertise, innovation and scale for delivering quality care to the patients.

As per the latest agreement, Quest will provide supply chain expertise in supplies, laboratory equipment, and procurement processes for Lee Health's five hospitals and some selected outpatient centers. Apparently, Quest will also be performing reference testing for Lee Health.

Dr Lawrence Antonucci, President & Chief Executive Officer of Lee Health, expressed his views stating that the firm is excited to collaborate with Quest Diagnostics as it will assist it in streamlining its lab operations.

Lawrence further mentioned that Quest's purchasing power for supplies and equipment as well as supply chain logistics expertise will enable the firm to offer the best-in-class patient care continuously.
