Supima, the American-grown Pima cotton brand, has reportedly partnered up with TextileGenesis to set up a new market benchmark for the authentication of cotton.

The TextileGenesis-powered Supima blockchain platform is slated to connect Supima’s inclusive supply chain from the producers to the brand/retailers digitally. Supima’s innovation collaborator Oritain integrated with the platform is projected to give forensic origin validation for Supima cotton across the platform.

The ability to validate the content of Supima items at each stage of the supply chain accomplishes unmatched responsibility and genuineness using a combination of digitalized and forensic physical authentication.

This revolutionary supply chain traceability platform will provide a fundamental process to facilitate collaboration among the partners in a straightforward, and verifiable way.

TextileGenesis’ Fibercoin innovation shall combine Supima’s authorization program and connect to all Supima branded fiber all through the supply chain, making a non-fungible digitalized token for each kilogram of Supima cotton. This token can be physically and forensically authenticated and verified by Supima from the farm through to the retail rack.
