The demand for clean energy has observed a massive momentum across the globe over the past few years. Various companies have come under one roof to devise the strategies for building up a sustainable environment allowing the provision of clean energy. Walking on the same path are the newly collaborated Google and AES who have reportedly inked a strategic alliance to promote the expansion of clean energy in the upcoming years. It has been reported that the AES Corporation and Google LLC signed a 10-year term of collaboration to speed up the adoption and expansion of clean energy across the globe. Of late, the Virginia headquartered AES Corp. declared that the company would draw out the benefits of Google’s Cloud Technology to pioneer innovation in the energy sector. Alongside, the two firms confirmed that they would significantly work with each other to develop and implement the solutions which enable large scale adoption of clean energy. The Virginia company further added that it would, on a large scale, make use of the Google Cloud technology to improve the energy and customer’s experience and support in establishing the grid of future. As per industry analysts, the renewable sources of energy are becoming extensively vital components in the global energy spectrum. A paradigm shift to the solar and wind based sources would leave a long-lasting impact on the environment. Speaking on the acquisition, the president and CEO of AES, Andres Gluski reportedly quoted that the company was highly honored on being welcomed aboard by Google for the strategic partnership. He further added that by merging the capabilities, footprint and experience of both the companies, they would be able to leverage better and more efficient energy solutions. Meanwhile, the CEO of Google Cloud, Thomas Kurian cited that the cloud technology and AES’s contribution would influence the cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics to transform the energy sector’s infrastructure, whilst fueling the adoption of renewable energy globally.
