• Bahrains National Space Science Agency and India’s Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) have agreed to collaborate in space technology.

India and Bahrain have reportedly decided to collaborate on culture exchange, solar energy and space technology since Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi conducted a comprehensive talk with Bahrain’s Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to provide a significant boost to whole array of bilateral relations. Narendra Modi is the first Prime Minister from India to visit Bahrain. Prince Khalifa and Modi, after completion of delegation-level talks, saw exchange of MoUs (memorandum of understanding) in various areas like space, culture, and a partnership with the International Solar Alliance (ISA). Bahrains National Space Science Agency and India’s Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) have agreed to partner in space technology field. Both the countries have agreed on the collaboration of Bahrain with the International Solar Alliance (ISA). The two sides have also partnered in culture exchange program. ISA, launched by Narendra Modi and the then President of France Francois Hollande during UN Climate Change Conference conducted in Paris in 2015, is known as a major international initiative to contribute towards implementing the Paris Climate Agreement using massive and rapid rollout of solar energy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted that he was honored to meet the Prime Minister of Bahrain, Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa. Modi added that their talks were extensive and included many subjects related to India-Bahrain relations. Both the Prime Ministers have committed to provide a lift to whole spectrum of relations between both the countries. Before the comprehensive talks, Modi was given a ceremonial welcome in the Al Gudaibiya Palace at Bahrain. Prince Khalifa was present at the airport to receive Prime Minister Modi. Modi is on a three-nation tour of UAE, Bahrain, France with Bahrain being the last leg of the tour.
